Support up to 10 million KRW per selected project... Recruiting participating organizations until May 1
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) is promoting the ‘2020 Seongbuk-gu Sharing Promotion Contest Project.’
Since 2012-2015, the district has supported a total of 19 sharing projects with a budget of approximately 124 million KRW to revitalize the sharing economy.
In particular, last year, local social economy enterprises (1 social enterprise, 2 cooperatives) participated, operating an upcycling study room using waste wood, establishing an online platform for sharing festival resources, and conducting a care social dining project utilizing library restaurant spaces, providing residents with an opportunity to understand the value of sharing (共有) more easily and familiarly.
This ‘2020 Seongbuk-gu Sharing Promotion Contest Project’ is recruiting participating organizations until May 1, and any project that promotes sharing is eligible to apply, including ▲space sharing projects utilizing idle spaces ▲item sharing projects sharing infrequently used goods ▲intangible sharing projects sharing residents’ knowledge, experience, and talents ▲projects linking education, culture, and arts resources for sharing.
A district official stated, “The sharing promotion contest project targets all projects that create social value and solve various local problems through sharing local resources such as kitchens, empty houses, vacant warehouses, idle spaces, and residents’ diverse goods, talents, and experiences. We encourage active participation.”
Eligibility requires business registration in Seongbuk-gu or projects targeting residents, including non-profit private organizations, small and medium enterprises, social enterprises, cooperatives, and groups that participated in the 2019 Seongbuk-gu Sharing Economy Hackathon. Interested organizations can download the application form from the Seongbuk-gu Office website (http://www.sb.go.kr → District News → Notices), complete it, and submit it via email (2009051327@sb.go.kr).
Submitted projects will be reviewed by the Seongbuk-gu Sharing Promotion Committee and the Local Subsidy Deliberation Committee, with final selections scheduled for early June. Selected projects will receive up to 10 million KRW in funding per project.
