View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] Amid suspicions that a couple appearing as clients in the preview of MBC's 'Save Me! Holmes' are an adulterous couple, the production team announced that they will edit out all scenes featuring the said clients.
On the 17th, the 'Save Me! Holmes' production team released an official statement on their official website, saying, "After much consideration, we have determined that the best course of action is to edit out all scenes featuring the clients so that viewers can watch without discomfort."
The production team explained, "The clients applied for the story through the program's website and participated in a preliminary interview. However, while the properties are thoroughly verified from various angles due to the nature of the program, we ask for your understanding that it is difficult to accurately verify personal private matters."
They added, "We will continue to make efforts so that viewers can watch comfortably."
Earlier, on the 12th, the preview for episode 54, scheduled to air on the 19th, was released during the broadcast of 'Save Me! Holmes.' The video showed a couple preparing for marriage requesting a newlywed home.
Subsequently, on the 16th, a post titled "The mistress is appearing on the broadcast" was uploaded on an online community.
The author claimed, "I divorced a year ago and after over a year of litigation, I won the lawsuit against the mistress a few months ago. I am raising a 4-year-old child alone," and added, "While watching yesterday’s broadcast, I saw my ex-husband and the mistress smiling in the preview of the soon-to-be newlywed couple."
According to the alimony lawsuit judgment document for the mistress disclosed by the author, the court stated, "Defendant A committed an affair knowing that Defendant B was married, and it is reasonable to conclude that the marriage between the plaintiff and Defendant B was destroyed as a result. Therefore, Defendant A is obligated to compensate the plaintiff for the mental suffering caused."
The author expressed distress, saying, "Although adultery was abolished as a crime in South Korea, I wrote this post with a heavy heart hoping that adulterers should not even appear on broadcasts. It cannot be more heartbreaking than this."
