[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) is recruiting participants to cultivate a newly established 9,100㎡ public garden in the Segokcheon area until the 20th of this month.
The public garden, located at Segok-dong 54, 13-2, and 13-4, was created using idle land in an eco-friendly manner, with facilities such as parking lots and picnic areas installed for the convenience of residents.
The district offers plots to 200 households who wish to cultivate, with each household limited to one plot (16㎡) at a price of 70,000 KRW.
Applications are open only to Gangnam-gu residents, and those interested can apply through the Gangnam-gu Office website.
Winners will be selected by a random computerized draw on the 21st, and detailed inquiries can be made to the Gangnam-gu Office Regional Economy Division.
Additionally, the district supports eco-friendly farming by providing free compost and eco-friendly pesticides, and the produced agricultural products undergo regular pesticide and heavy metal inspections to ensure safety.
