Police Investigate Daejin-yeon for 'Opposition Placard Protest' at Na Kyung-won's Campaign Site
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] The police have launched a formal investigation into a group of university students who held a placard protest at the campaign site of Na Kyung-won, the United Future Party candidate running in the Seoul Dongjak-eul constituency for the 21st National Assembly election.
On the 14th, the Seoul Dongjak Police Station announced that they are investigating activists from the Seoul University Student Progressive Union (Daejin-yeon) on charges of violating the Public Official Election Act.
They are suspected of holding placards with slogans such as "Expel the Deep-rooted Forces" near the subway station where candidate Na was campaigning on the 23rd of last month.
