Heo Ji-woong's Thoughts After Health Decline News: "Hundreds of Malicious Comments... Even Betrayal by Trusted Acquaintances"
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Writer and broadcaster Heo Ji-woong recently shared his feelings about going through a difficult period.
On the opening remarks of SBS LoveFM's 'Heo Ji-woong Show' aired on the 14th, Heo Ji-woong said, "While suffering from (malignant lymphoma), I hoped that young people wouldn't have to go through their 20s like I did," adding, "I focused only on that."
He continued, "I tried not to write, but since what I learned is like stealing, I thought maybe I could find one or two common denominators with my humble writing skills by putting my sincerity into it," and said, "I felt that was the way to live together."
He then said, "While doing those things, people who didn’t like me left so-called malicious comments or messages," adding, "But the level was too severe, including threats to my parents or my health, and they sent hundreds of messages in an organized way. It’s impossible not to be affected."
He added, "Recently, I was also betrayed by people I had trusted and worked with for a long time, so I had a hard time for two weeks. I am trying to prepare self-help measures to avoid feeling distressed."
Earlier, on the 13th, Heo Ji-woong posted on his Instagram, "Even I can see my expression is not good. In recent weeks, there have been consecutive unfavorable incidents in my personal life. Because of that, I have been stressed and my health suddenly worsened."
