The Masters organizing committee posted on social media on the 14th (Korean time), "Here is a sneak peek of last year's Masters champions' locker room," sharing four photos. Among them were Mickelson's handwritten note and Woods measuring the size of the 'Green Jacket.' Mickelson left a note on a clubhouse napkin in Woods' locker that read, "Tiger, this year's tournament was truly amazing and moving! I'm very happy you won! Phil."
The message is more like a memo than a letter. Given that Mickelson and Woods are famously rivals, this became newsworthy. Since the 2004 Ryder Cup, when they played on the same team but lost two matches, they have never teamed up in a team match. However, in 2018, ahead of the Masters, they played a practice round together, creating a warm moment. American media reported at the time that "the two players practicing together was the first time in 20 years since 1998."
