40s Man Arrested for Causing Disturbance in Office Demanding to Meet Candidate
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Min Jun-young] A man in his 40s who caused a disturbance at the campaign office of Democratic Party candidate Wi Seong-gon, running in the Seogwipo City electoral district in Jeju, was arrested by the police.
Mr. A is accused of damaging a computer at Wi's campaign office in Donghong-dong, Seogwipo, around 11:30 p.m. on the 12th (property damage).
According to the Seogwipo Police Station, Mr. A, who was intoxicated, said, "I want to meet candidate Wi Seong-gon," but when Wi was not at the office, he damaged two work computers.
Mr. A was reportedly arrested at the scene by police who responded to the disturbance call.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
