SKT-Nexon Business Agreement Signed... Joint Marketing for 'KartRider'

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] SK Telecom and Nexon signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 13th for joint marketing and business cooperation.
SK Telecom and Nexon will conduct joint marketing for their owned content, product services, and new games, and cooperate in preparing for the successful launch of virtual reality (VR) games utilizing Nexon's intellectual property (IP). They will also jointly promote e-sports business and league sponsorships, and collaborate on discovering and investing in new content in the VR and cloud gaming sectors.
Nexon stated, "Game content and SK Telecom's strong competitiveness in telecommunications and service areas are expected to create synergy in various fields such as IP, e-sports, VR, and cloud gaming through cooperation between the two companies."
As the first step of cooperation, they plan to join forces in the joint marketing of the new game 'KartRider Rush Plus.' 'KartRider Rush Plus' is a mobile racing game developed to enjoy the fun of Nexon's popular IP 'KartRider' on mobile platforms, tailored to the latest trends. It is scheduled to be serviced globally (excluding China, Japan, and Vietnam), including South Korea, in the first half of this year.
Previously, the two companies signed an IP usage contract for three Nexon online games to develop 5G VR games, and SK Telecom participated as the title sponsor of the e-sports tournament '2020 KartRider League Season 1,' maintaining close cooperation.
