Electroland Introduces Easy Payment 'KakaoPay'... Cashback Event Also Available
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Electroland announced on the 13th that it has introduced the 'KakaoPay' payment service.
Electroland has initially introduced the KakaoPay service at 88 branches including Yongsan Main Store, Busan Main Store, Daejeon Main Store, Ulsan Samsan Branch, Seosin Branch, Ilsan Branch, Sokcho Branch, and Jeju Branch. The service is planned to be expanded to all stores nationwide within this month.
KakaoPay is a mobile simple payment service that allows users to register credit or debit cards on KakaoTalk and make payments easily with just a password on their mobile devices. When purchasing goods, payment can be made by scanning the KakaoPay barcode on the smartphone.
To commemorate the introduction of KakaoPay, Electroland is running a cashback event until the 30th, where customers who pay with KakaoPay will receive 2% of their first purchase amount back as KakaoMoney, limited to one time per person. Additionally, customers who register the Electroland Samsung partnership card on KakaoPay and make payments of 1,000,000 KRW or more will receive benefits worth up to 200,000 KRW.

Kang Bok-gyun, head of Electroland Financial CRM Group, said, “We introduced the KakaoPay payment service in line with the market trend where more customers are using mobile simple payment services,” and added, “We plan to continuously introduce various services for customers’ convenient shopping in the future.”
