Candidate Shin Jeong-hoon Goes All Out to Secure Votes on the Last Weekend Before the General Election
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Shin Jeong-hoon, the Democratic Party of Korea candidate for the National Assembly representing Jeonnam Naju·Hwasun, conducted an all-out election campaign on the last weekend before the 21st general election on the 12th, traveling throughout the region to capture voters' support.
On the morning of the day, candidate Shin greeted local residents in the Sejijang, Bonghwang-myeon, and Dado-myeon areas, and in the afternoon, he moved around Geumcheon-myeon, downtown Naju, and the Yeongsanpo area to appeal for support.
During street campaigning, candidate Shin said, "I will become a re-elected National Assembly member of the ruling party and create a groundbreaking opportunity for the development of Naju and Hwasun," and promised, "Along with the opening of Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) University, which was reflected in the Moon Jae-in administration's national agenda during the last presidential election, I will attract the Synchrotron Radiation Accelerator Center to develop the city into a global energy new industry hub."
He added, "I will do my best to play a leading role in relocating public institutions and related research institutes and training centers suited to the characteristics of our region, following the second phase of public institution decentralization," and pledged, "I will solve the SRF issue, odor problems, and education issues to make Bitgaram Innovation City a city where anyone wants to live."
He continued his campaign, saying, "I will promote urban regeneration New Deal projects and youth happy housing in the old downtown area to create a pleasant residential environment and prepare an opportunity for the city to leap forward as a historical and cultural city boasting the ancient culture of the Yeongsan River."
He also emphasized, "I will innovate living transportation for rural and socially vulnerable groups through the agricultural product minimum price stabilization system, expansion of the public interest direct payment system for forestry, enactment of the Taxi Public Transportation Act, and introduction of the semi-public taxi system. Furthermore, I will practice livelihood politics that gives hope by greatly expanding youth support policies promoted by the Moon Jae-in government, such as activating local talent recruitment and youth employment academies."
