SK Inno Launches Integrated Sub-Brand... 'Hi !nnovation'
Determined to Build New Fundamentals through Deep Change Centered on Green Balance 2030
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] SK Innovation has launched a new integrated sub-brand, 'Hi !nnovation.'
SK Innovation explained that 'Hi !nnovation' embodies various directions of innovation pursued by the company from the perspectives of economic and social value, including 'High !nnovation' for creating greater innovation company-wide, 'Happy !nnovation' for making a happy world, 'Hi !nnovation' welcomed by the new era, and 'Human !nnovation' for coexistence with humanity.
SK Innovation stated, "It reflects our determination to accelerate the deep change of Green Balance 2030 that the company pursues and to create a new fundamental of corporate value through this." They added, "Especially this year, as the company and all members must overcome unprecedented crises together and focus on 'maximizing happiness,' various innovations are more important than ever, just as the integrated sub-brand implies," explaining the background for introducing the integrated sub-brand.
SK Innovation is Korea’s first and largest energy and chemical company but has continuously expanded its business areas through relentless innovation. Recently, it has been strongly promoting a deep change toward future advanced industries such as the battery business, materials business, and high value-added chemical business. To this end, it has completed or is constructing battery and materials production bases in key global regions including the United States, China, Hungary, and Poland. Through mergers and acquisitions (M&A), it has consecutively acquired high value-added chemical businesses of global petrochemical companies such as Dow in the U.S. and Arkema in France.
Considering this significance, SK Innovation plans to establish 'Hi !nnovation' not only as a corporate PR campaign or a means of internal and external communication but also as a corporate culture standard recognized and acted upon by all executives and employees.
