Suncheon Byeollyang Middle School Joins COVID-19 Fight with Handmade Cloth Masks
Faculty and Students Produce and Deliver 500 Cloth Masks to Practice Community Sharing
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon Byeollyang Middle School (Principal Lee Gye-jun) announced on the 9th that the faculty and students made 500 cotton masks themselves to help neighbors struggling due to COVID-19 and delivered them to the Byeollyang-myeon Administrative Welfare Center on the 8th.
The cotton masks, carefully handmade by the faculty members and the small hands of the students at Byeollyang Middle School, were delivered to elderly residents at three nursing homes located in Byeollyang-myeon through the Byeollyang-myeon Administrative Welfare Center.
Principal Lee Gye-jun of Byeollyang Middle School said, “It is very rewarding that the masks made by the combined efforts of faculty and students are being used for a good cause,” and added, “I hope COVID-19 will end soon so that the students can enjoy their classes happily.”
Woo Seong-won, head of Byeollyang-myeon, said, “I am glad to be able to deliver masks filled with the students’ sincerity to the elderly,” and stated, “The administration will also do its best to respond to COVID-19.”
