Samsung Electronics Allows Four-Day Workweeks for Two Months Due to COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Samsung Electronics has allowed employees to work four days a week for the next two months in response to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to related industry sources on the 9th, Samsung Electronics decided to temporarily abolish the minimum daily working hours for employees in the CE (Consumer Electronics) division and the IM (IT & Mobile) division until May.
Accordingly, employees can apply for one day off per week, effectively enabling a four-day workweek. However, the minimum monthly working hours remain the same as those working five days a week.
