[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] 'Radio Star' ranked first in viewership ratings in the same time slot for two consecutive weeks with its 'Mr. Trot' special.
According to Nielsen Korea, a ratings survey company, the MBC entertainment program 'Radio Star' aired the previous day (the 8th) recorded 9.7% for Part 1 and 10.0% for Part 2 based on the metropolitan area. The 'Radio Star' broadcast that day featured guests Lim Young-woong, Young Tak, Lee Chan-won, and Jang Min-ho, continuing from last week.
Lim Young-woong attracted attention by revealing his story about considering surgery for a facial scar and his unique views on marriage.
Regarding why he often practices facial expressions, Lim Young-woong said, "When I was in elementary school, I fell and got a big injury on my cheek, which required 30 stitches. I can move it, but to smile naturally, I have to put more strength on one side of my cheek."
He added, "People who like me say they like my scar too. So for now, I plan to just leave it as it is."
Lim Young-woong also revealed something he definitely wants to do before marriage. He said, "I want to date for at least three years before getting married. Also, I want to live together before marriage. I think we should live together a little bit."
He continued, "If we don't get along, we can break up. Because once I get married, I want it to last a long time. So I want to live together and decide before that. I’m thinking about a period of about three months," showing a cautious attitude toward marriage.
Lee Chan-won said he was also famous as an MC in his hometown Daegu, stating, "I became known since I started hosting school festivals from the second year of middle school. Even in college, I hosted not only my school’s festivals but also festivals at other universities. I respect senior Kim Sung-joo so much that I expressed it during the 'Mr. Trot' ranking announcement ceremony."
Lee Chan-won took the stage with Lim Young-woong’s song 'Not the Stairs but the Elevator.' Watching this, Lim Young-woong, Young Tak, and Jang Min-ho all followed the choreography together, showing their excitement.
Young Tak recalled his past as an unknown singer who worked as a guide vocalist for various singers. He also revealed that he taught students as a guest professor of practical music and vocals. He said, "I earned more than when I was a singer. Then I appeared on 'Hidden Singer' and my desire to sing rose again."
That day, Young Tak chose the song 'Jjin-iya' to showcase his vocal skills.
