Installation of 'Transparent Partitions' at Guro-gu Civil Service Counters
Comprehensive Information Desk, 53 Counters Including Civil Affairs Passport Section... Efforts to Prevent Virus Spread by Droplets... Fever Checks, Hand Sanitizers, Mask Wearing to Block COVID-19 Entry in Building
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) has installed 'transparent partitions' at the civil service counters inside the government office.
Guro-gu announced on the 9th that it recently completed the installation of partitions at civil service counters to prevent the spread of COVID-19, citing that the civil service office is used by an unspecified large number of people, making face-to-face work unavoidable and raising concerns about virus infection through droplets.
The installation locations include 53 civil service counters within the district office and health center, such as the general information desk, civil affairs and passport department, and automobile management department.
The partitions are made of transparent acrylic material. A space at the bottom is secured for document submission to ensure no inconvenience in processing tasks.
Guro-gu plans to install partitions at civil service counters in community service centers in the future.
Guro-gu is also working to block the entry of COVID-19 into the building by installing thermal imaging cameras at entrances, providing hand sanitizers, requiring staff to wear masks at all times, and conducting frequent disinfection.
