Gwangju City Election Commission Ensures Safe Early Voting Sites
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan City Election Commission is making every effort to ensure safety, including conducting disinfection work at polling stations so that voters can vote with confidence.
According to the Gwangju Election Commission on the 8th, disinfection work is carried out at all 95 early voting stations and 369 election day polling stations in Gwangju until the day before voting, and polling stations that have completed disinfection are prohibited from outside access until the start of voting.
At the entrance of the polling stations, dedicated personnel are assigned to check body temperature using non-contact thermometers. Those with a temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius or higher or respiratory symptoms will vote at a separately installed temporary voting booth to avoid overlapping paths with other voters.
All election staff and observers will wear masks and sanitary gloves, and all items and equipment that voters come into contact with, as well as entrance doors, will be disinfected frequently.
