Tenor Andrea Bocelli Delivers Hope in Online Concert at Duomo Cathedral
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli will present an Easter commemorative online concert, 'Music For Hope,' through his official YouTube channel at 2 a.m. on the 13th (Korean time).
The online concert will be held at the Duomo in Milan, one of Europe's representative cathedrals. Bocelli is expected to perform five arias with hopeful lyrics, including "Panis Angelicus."
The concert was made possible by an invitation from Giuseppe Sala, the mayor of Milan. Mayor Sala proposed the performance to Bocelli to convey hope during a time when the whole world is suffering from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Bocelli's stage this time was pre-recorded without an audience or worshippers to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Anyone around the world can enjoy the performance through the YouTube channel.
