CJ Provides Relief Supplies Worth 300 Million KRW Including COVID-19 Medical Supplies to Indonesia
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] CJ Group is providing relief supplies worth approximately 300 million KRW to Indonesia, which is struggling due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
On the 8th, CJ announced that it will deliver medical supplies including COVID-19 test kits and hand sanitizers through its CJ Indonesia Regional Headquarters. The relief supplies will be used for the treatment of COVID-19 confirmed patients and medical volunteers in consultation with the Indonesian government.
A CJ official stated, “The relief supplies were composed of medical items most needed by the Indonesian government,” adding, “We hope this will offer some comfort to the people and further help strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries.”
CJ has consistently engaged in relief activities, delivering relief goods and donations when Indonesia suffered from the tsunami in 2004 and earthquakes in 2006 and 2018.
