First COVID-19 Death in Seoul... Husband of Guro Call Center Employee

According to Mapo-gu on the 7th, the deceased patient was a 44-year-old male residing in Mangwon 2-dong (Mapo-gu confirmed case No. 11, Seoul patient No. 285, nationwide patient No. 8602), who was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and tested positive on the 19th of last month, then was admitted to Severance Hospital.
All four family members of this man were confirmed positive for COVID-19. His 38-year-old wife (Mapo-gu confirmed case No. 10), who worked at the Guro-gu Korea Building call center, was diagnosed one day earlier than her husband and was admitted to Seonam Hospital but has since recovered and been discharged.
Their 15-year-old son, a middle school student (Mapo-gu confirmed case No. 12), and 12-year-old daughter, an elementary school student (Mapo-gu confirmed case No. 13), were diagnosed on the 19th of last month and admitted to Seonam Hospital; currently, the son has been discharged.
