Participation in Social Distancing to Prevent COVID-19 Spread... Aimed at Supporting Local Economy Revitalization
[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] SC First Bank announced on the 7th that it will purchase Onnuri gift certificates worth over 400 million KRW with the budget for the spring sports event to support overcoming COVID-19 and distribute them to employees as early as this month.
SC First Bank has held spring and autumn sports events annually to promote employee unity. However, this year, the event was canceled to actively participate in the social distancing campaign to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Instead, to help revitalize the local economy frozen by COVID-19, the bank plans to purchase Onnuri gift certificates, which can be used in traditional markets and local commercial districts, with the budget of over 400 million KRW originally allocated for the spring sports event and distribute them to employees.
Se-won Lee, Head of Human Resources at SC First Bank (Executive Director), said, "It will be a good example of internal harmony for labor and management to unite and practice the will to participate in preventing the spread of COVID-19," adding, "We hope employees use the gift certificates meaningfully with the mindset of protecting the economy and commercial districts of their respective residential areas."
