Gwangju University Puts Full Effort into Communicating with Students Using 'YouTube Live'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyukjong) is putting all its efforts into communication with students using YouTube Live.
Gwangju University announced on the 7th that it held a ‘Special Lecture on Learning Methods Using YouTube Live’ through the university’s Teaching and Learning Research Institute YouTube channel on the 6th, amid ongoing non-face-to-face online classes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The special lecture, themed ‘Time Management Strategies for a Successful University Life,’ lasted about an hour and communicated in real-time with about 40 enrolled students through live comments.
The YouTube Live learning method special lecture is available for replay on the Gwangju University Teaching and Learning Research Institute YouTube channel, and the university plans to expand YouTube lectures by developing various lecture contents.
The Gwangju University Teaching and Learning Research Institute is focusing on developing content using real-time video lectures and YouTube to provide high-quality non-face-to-face online classes. Along with the existing online lecture operation systems such as the 知Well Studio and e-Campus, the plan is to enhance lecture delivery and improve students’ academic achievement and participation.
In particular, all professors are guided to conduct online classes using content they produce themselves, and manuals are provided to continuously prepare and support educational programs.
