According to Seoul City on the 7th, from midnight on the 6th to 10 a.m. on the 7th, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases increased by 8.
Among them, 6 were directly infected through overseas contact, 1 was secondarily infected from an overseas contact, and the infection route of the remaining 1 is still unknown and under investigation by health authorities.
Of the 6 patients infected through overseas contact, 4 had visited the United States, and 2 had traveled to Mexico, the United Kingdom, and Peru.
The residences of these confirmed cases were 3 in Gangnam-gu, and 1 each in Gwanak, Nowon, Seongdong, and Jungnang-gu. There was also one 18-year-old male international student whose residence is Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, who was tested in Gangnam-gu and counted as a Seoul case.
