Nohae-eup Youth Association Launches Environmental Cleanup on Remote Island Jukguldo

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] Nohwa-eup, Wando-gun announced on the 7th that the Nohwa-eup Youth Association (President Kim Kwang-cheol) carried out a sea garbage cleanup activity on the remote island of Jukguldo to create a clean environment and take the lead in environmental preservation as part of the Nohwa Love Movement.
On that day, 25 members participated to tidy up the area around the Jukguldo beach and collected all the sea garbage accumulated around the pier and the island.
Chu Gyo-hoon, mayor of Nohwa-eup, said, “I am grateful that the Nohwa-eup Youth Association is taking the lead in making Nohwa clean,” and added, “We will continue to build an organic cooperation system with local institutions and social organizations to actively carry out administration for the residents.”
