Gyeongnam Office of Education Distributes Over 2.32 Million Masks in Bulk Ahead of School Reopening

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kang Sharon] The Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 7th that it has distributed a total of 2,323,909 masks to regional education support offices to be provided to students and staff before the start of the school term to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) within schools.
The masks distributed this time will be given to students and staff at a rate of 4 masks per person, 2 masks each, to be used when schools return to normal offline classes after online classes.
Additionally, health masks secured through government public supplies and donations have been distributed to schools at all levels as reserves to be used in case of confirmed COVID-19 cases within schools.

Park Jong-hoon, Superintendent of Gyeongnam Education, stated, "The Office of Education will remain vigilant and fully prepared for the return to in-person classes," and urged, "Regional education support offices and schools at all levels should do their best to prepare quarantine supplies and maintain school sanitation to prevent the spread of COVID-19 before the start of in-person classes."
