Seodaemun-gu's Notification Text for Receiving the 'Temporary Living Support Fund' Sent to Low-Income Residents
View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) will provide 5 billion KRW in 'Temporary Living Support Funds' to low-income residents in response to the COVID-19 national disaster crisis.
The recipients are approximately 9,500 households classified as basic livelihood security recipients and near-poverty groups as of March 2020. The amount, determined by eligibility and household size, will be paid at once via a 'rechargeable prepaid card.'
The amounts are ▲ 520,000 KRW for a single-person household to a maximum of 1,920,000 KRW for a six-person household for recipients of livelihood and medical benefits ▲ 400,000 KRW for a single-person household to a maximum of 1,480,000 KRW for a six-person household for recipients of housing and education benefits and near-poverty groups. The payment covers four months from April to July in a single installment.
Eligible recipients of the temporary living support can receive the prepaid card at their local community service center on the same day of the week as their mask purchase day under the 5-day mask purchase system starting from the 8th of this month, without a separate application.
If visiting is difficult, the card will be delivered through the 'Visiting Welfare Team' at each community service center. The district office will also send notification texts containing this information to eligible residents.
