According to Chosun University Hospital (Director Jeong Jonghun) on the 6th, Hong was diagnosed positive in Daegu and classified as a severe patient with respiratory distress at Gyeongbuk Gimcheon Medical Center before being transferred to Chosun University Hospital on the 10th of last month.
After 16 days of inpatient treatment, she was fully cured and discharged on the 26th of last month, returning to her hometown. She revisited Chosun University Hospital on the 3rd for an outpatient appointment at the Infectious Diseases Department and is known to have visited Ward 75 where she was hospitalized, delivering a letter of thanks along with fruit.
Hong said, “I don’t know the names or surnames, but I will never forget and will live with a grateful heart to the professors and many nurses who always treated me warmly,” expressing sincere gratitude for the medical staff’s hard work.
She added, “When I was hospitalized in a hospital outside Daegu, I felt helpless and very scared. Thanks to the nurses and medical staff of Ward 75 who wore heavy protective suits and treated me like family, I was deeply moved and felt warm affection beyond the region.”
