Executives Participate in '10% Salary Return' Every Month for One Year

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea Electrical Safety Corporation announced that it will purchase approximately 950 million won worth of Onnuri gift certificates, equivalent to 10% of the salaries of its executives and employees, and distribute them to all employees to help local small business owners struggling due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Executives have also agreed to return 10% of their monthly salaries for one year. The deducted funds will be donated to projects supporting vulnerable groups.
The corporation encourages all employees to use the welfare points distributed to them early. Employees who use all their points by the end of this month will receive additional traditional market gift certificates.
Employee encouragement gifts will also be mainly agricultural products to support local farms.
Additionally, as part of practicing social distancing, the corporation plans to place bulk orders for items to be purchased in cooperation with the local traditional market merchants' association and deliver them individually to employees via courier.
