On the 2nd, the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office Masan Branch announced that university student A (19) was prosecuted without detention on charges of insult and violation of the Minor Offenses Act for cursing during a call to the KDCA 1339 call center.
On February 26, while live streaming on YouTube from his home in Changwon, Gyeongnam, A called the KDCA call center and cursed at the counselor, saying, "I have a cough and a fever. XXXX-ya. I have a tic disorder that makes me curse at the end of every sentence. XXXX-ya."
A’s YouTube channel had about 420 subscribers, and around 150 viewers were watching at the time. The prank call with curses lasted about one minute.
After this fact was revealed through the media, A felt pressured and surrendered to the police a week later.
During the police investigation, A reportedly stated, "I committed the act because viewers requested prank calls to the KDCA call center during the broadcast."

The prosecution considered that the counselor suffered mental shock and that other customer service was disrupted, and added charges of obstruction of business under the Minor Offenses Act to A, who was sent to prosecution for insult by the police, and brought the case to trial.
