Police Refer 'Pullus' Ride-Hailing Service CEO and Driver with Charges Recommended
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The police have referred the CEO and drivers of the vehicle call service 'Poolus' to the prosecution on charges of operating outside of service hours.
On the 2nd, the Seoul Seocho Police Station announced that they had sent Seo Young-woo, CEO of Poolus, and 24 affiliated drivers to the prosecution with a recommendation for indictment on charges of violating the Passenger Transport Service Act.
They are accused of operating outside the permitted commuting hours for vehicle call services (7-9 AM and 6-8 PM) from late 2018 to early last year. It is reported that a taxi association, which received reports from passengers who used Poolus at the time, filed a complaint with the prosecution.
