Gyeonggi-do Supports 'GED Online Education Service' for Out-of-School Youth
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is providing online education services to prepare for the qualification exam through the School Outside Youth Support Center.
The School Outside Youth Support Center explained on the 2nd that, due to COVID-19, it had been providing online education services for the qualification exam preparation via phone and text messages until recently, but as the center's closure has been prolonged, it has started supporting real-time education services using a non-face-to-face online video system.
According to the center, Seongnam City and Gapyeong County are operating qualification exam preparation classes using the video program 'Zoom,' Guri, Gunpo, Icheon, and Ansan cities are using 'Kakao Live Talk,' and Pyeongtaek City is using 'Smoothie.' Other cities and counties will also start the service within this week.
Youth can watch real-time lectures through the online education service and ask questions, and real-time communication with instructors is also possible via the chat window.
