Hyundai Kia Motors Extends Warranty Repair Period Until June... "Minimizing Disadvantages from COVID-19"
Extension of Warranty Repair Period Until June 30 for Customers with Warranty Expiring Between February and April
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Hyundai Kia Motors announced on the 2nd that it will extend the warranty repair period for customers whose warranties expire between February and April this year and who were unable to receive warranty repairs due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
This decision was made to support customers who were unable to travel due to COVID-19 response personnel such as medical staff and quarantine workers, hospitalization or self-isolation, and customers who refrained from going out to comply with social distancing. Eligible customers can make a prior maintenance reservation through the customer center and receive warranty repairs by visiting Hyundai and Kia nationwide service networks by June 30.
A Hyundai Kia Motors official said, "Amid the difficulties faced by the entire nation due to the spread of COVID-19, we decided to extend the warranty period to minimize disadvantages to customers caused by COVID-19 response medical support, treatment, and self-quarantine," adding, "We will continue to seek various ways to overcome difficulties together with customers and provide practical help to them."
This measure is being implemented through Hyundai Motor's 'COVID-19 Special Warranty Extension Program' and Kia Motor's 'Kia Promise' program.
