Woori Bank Provides Disinfection Services to Child Welfare Facilities Vulnerable to COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] Woori Bank announced on the 1st that it delivered sponsorship funds for the 'Disinfection Support for Child Welfare Facilities' project to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation at its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul. The delivery ceremony was attended by key figures including Kwon Kwang-seok, President of Woori Bank, and Lee Je-hoon, Chairman of the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation.
This project aims to provide disinfection services to child welfare facilities such as local children’s centers and orphanages used by vulnerable children who are easily exposed to COVID-19 and other diseases. It supports about 160 child welfare facilities located in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province that are struggling with self-disinfection due to budget shortages amid ongoing infection risks.
Kwon Kwang-seok, President of Woori Bank, said, "Through this social contribution activity, I hope many child welfare facilities in the community will be safe from COVID-19 and other diseases so that children can laugh and play freely." He added, "Woori Bank will expand various social contribution activities that can help the healthy growth and development of future generations."
