The compensation period is until March next year and targets residents registered in Jangseong-gun. Compensation items include medical treatment costs at medical institutions, with compensation amounts ranging from 50,000 to 5 million KRW. Compensation will not be provided if the individual damage amount is less than 50,000 KRW.
Additionally, Jangseong-gun will continue to support crop damage caused by wild animals.
The support range is between 200,000 and 2 million KRW per farm and is compensated to the current cultivator regardless of the actual owner of the farm. It targets cultivated land with a damage area of 200㎡ or more, and the compensation amount is set within 80% of the total damage amount.
When the affected resident reports the damage to the relevant department of the county office, the county will receive a compensation amount assessment from a professional loss adjuster and proceed with the payment process.
A county official explained, “We aim to secure objectivity in the compensation amount by fairly calculating the damage compensation.”
In addition, Jangseong-gun selected support recipients through a public announcement in March and plans to install 800m of electric fences and 400m of wire fences by June. The budget for wild animal repellents will also be doubled from last year’s project cost to support a scale of 10 million KRW.
