Jin Ok-dong, Shinhan Bank President: "Let's Create a New Shinhan Way Through 'Boundary-Pushing Challenges'"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] Jin Ok-dong, President of Shinhan Bank, said on the 1st, "Let's create a new 'Shinhan Bank way' through 'crossing the line challenges' such as rapid information sharing, agile decision-making, and proactive execution."
On the same day, in a commemorative speech delivered via the company broadcast to mark the 14th anniversary of the Shinhan-Joheung Bank merger, President Jin said, "With the global spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), governments and leading companies around the world have declared emergencies, and this will lead to new standards in the financial industry," urging this.
President Jin evaluated, "Starting as the first national capital bank and sharing the modern history of the Republic of Korea, Shinhan, which has led innovation with the founding philosophy of 'financial patriotism,' has inherited this legacy and become a new milestone in Korean finance."
To practice social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Shinhan Bank did not hold a separate commemorative ceremony and instead replaced it with an internal broadcast. The annual commendation for meritorious employees was also changed to be awarded at each branch.
President Jin, who marked his first anniversary on the 26th of last month, has continuously implemented 'co-growth evaluation system,' 'investment product sales suspension system,' and 'customer-centered branches' as part of the 'Customer First' policy.
