Won Yu-cheol "Future Korea Party Election Alliance Different from Democratic Party-Progressive Party Election Alliance"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The Future Korea Party, a satellite proportional representation party of the United Future Party, has formalized its electoral alliance with the United Future Party, drawing a clear line that it is different from what the Democratic Party of Korea and the Unified Progressive Party did in the past.
Won Yoo-chul, leader of the Future Korea Party, said at a campaign committee meeting held at the National Assembly on the 1st, "The United Future Party and the Future Korea Party are sibling parties, and we were inevitably separated due to the unilateral passage of the election malpractice law created by the 4+1 political collusion," emphasizing this point.
That afternoon, the Future Korea Party and the United Future Party held a political alliance agreement ceremony and officially began their joint election campaign. Leader Won stated, "Our electoral alliance is different from what the Democratic Party of Korea did with Lee Jung-hee and Lee Seok-ki of the Unified Progressive Party when it was the opposition in 2012," and emphasized, "There is no sense of alienation or difference in policy between the two parties."
He added, "The Future Korea Party is fundamentally different from the 1st and 2nd tier parties created by the Cho Kuk Defense Headquarters," referring to the Democratic Party of Korea. "Since the end of last year, when the ruling coalition attempted to pass the election malpractice law, we have already informed the public that the creation of a proportional representation party would be inevitable if the law was forcibly passed," he said.
Leader Won said, "We kept our promise to the people by founding the Future Korea Party, but what about the Cho Kuk Defense Headquarters? They harshly criticized the Future Korea Party but quietly created two such parties themselves," he said. He continued, "If the election malpractice law is not corrected immediately after the general election, Cho Kuk could run for president based on the power of the Cho Kuk Defense 1st and 2nd tier parties," criticizing, "They submitted a pledge to distribute cash to all citizens, and despite the national economy being in an emergency, they have been shaking the country down to buy votes."
Kim Ki-sun, senior co-chairman of the campaign committee, also said, "This election should be a punishment election against the Cho Kuk defense forces," adding, "It should be a stern judgment for deceiving the people with lies and hypocrisy, and it should establish the foundation of common sense, truth, and righteousness that was trampled upon in the Republic of Korea." He continued, "Is it even reasonable to say that they will give 600,000 won per month to all citizens, distributing 30 trillion won monthly and 360 trillion won annually in cash?" and urged, "Please reject and sternly judge the forces of lies and hypocrisy and the Cho Kuk defense forces in the April 15 general election."

Meanwhile, on the same day, the United Future Party and the Future Korea Party held a joint declaration ceremony for 'Saving the Nation and Reviving the Economy' and a political alliance agreement ceremony at the National Assembly. Attendees included the United Future Party's general, joint, and regional campaign committee chairpersons and vice-chairpersons, youth committee chairpersons, general campaign headquarters directors, and spokespersons, as well as the Future Korea Party's election countermeasure committee and proportional representation candidates. Although the Central Election Commission has banned joint campaign headquarters, this effectively forms a joint campaign headquarters.
