One Non-Commissioned Officer Missing from Naval Ship in East Sea... Joint Search by Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The Navy's 1st Fleet Command announced on the 31st at around 4:30 PM that a non-commissioned officer (23) went missing from a guided missile fast attack craft (PKG 450-ton class) while moving from Donghae Port in Donghae City, Gangwon Province to Sokcho Port.
The Navy's 1st Fleet explained that, with the cooperation of related agencies including the Army, Air Force, and Coast Guard, more than 20 vessels and 5 aircraft were deployed for a joint search operation.
The guided missile fast attack craft, carrying about 40 crew members, had departed from the naval base in Songjeong-dong, Donghae City, heading to Sokcho Port in Sokcho City.
