On the 31st, Moon Ji-yoon's agency Family ENT announced through multiple media outlets, "The car commercial that Moon Ji-yoon filmed last month will be released on the 7th of next month," adding, "The bereaved family conveyed to the advertiser their wish to 'show the deceased in their happiest moments,' and it was decided to air the commercial."
According to Family ENT, Moon Ji-yoon filmed his second advertisement in his 15-year career last month in Seoul and Jeju Island. However, post-production was temporarily halted due to his sudden passing.
Yang Byung-yong, CEO of Family ENT, said, "During the advertisement shoot, Moon Ji-yoon showed the best condition. Even during breaks, he did not leave the set and was fully focused on performing his role perfectly. We hope people remember him as an actor who diligently strived for near perfection in every character. We deeply bow and thank the advertising officials who decided to air the commercial containing the late actor’s final moments and expressed condolences to the bereaved family."
Earlier, Moon Ji-yoon passed away from acute sepsis at around 8:56 p.m. on the 18th. At that time, Family ENT explained, "There were no abnormalities in the COVID-19 test results, so he was hospitalized. He had a sore throat with swelling and severe pain, but due to COVID-19, he did not visit the hospital and endured it while taking medicine. He was originally healthy but passed away four days after the sore throat symptoms began."
