Amorepacific Publishes Study on Green Tea Probiotics Improving Liver Damage in SCI Journal
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Amorepacific Technology Research Institute's Green Tea Lactobacillus Research Center announced on the 31st that a paper on the improvement of stomach damage by green tea lactobacillus discovered in organic tea fields in Jeju was published in the March issue of the SCI-level international journal "Frontiers in Microbiology."
The Green Tea Lactobacillus Research Center, in collaboration with Professor Wilhelm Holzapfel, president of the International Commission on Food Microbiology and Hygiene (ICFMH) and a world-renowned expert in microbiology, announced that their exclusive patented strain, green tea lactobacillus (GTB1), can alleviate gastric ulcers and gastritis.
In a non-clinical model of alcohol-induced gastric ulcers, green tea lactobacillus (GTB1) was shown to inhibit stomach damage and exhibit anti-inflammatory effects, confirming its excellent gastric inflammation regulatory function.
This overcomes the drawback of antibiotics used in conventional gastric ulcer treatment, which negatively affect the beneficial gut microbiota ecosystem. In particular, the paper highlighted that consuming green tea lactobacillus (GTB1) not only suppresses stomach damage but also increases various beneficial gut bacteria, thereby supporting both stomach and intestinal health, making it especially meaningful.
