L7 Gangnam Temporarily Closes Due to COVID-19 Confirmed Visitor
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] L7 Gangnam announced on the 31st that it has informed all guests and temporarily closed after a customer who visited the hotel was confirmed to be infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
L7 Gangnam explained that on the afternoon of the 30th, upon receiving notification from health authorities, it immediately informed all guests about the fact that a COVID-19 positive individual had stayed at the hotel according to internal protocols, guided them on safe movement routes, and arranged for their departure.
Additionally, it suspended new reservations and provided free cancellations and full refunds to existing reservation customers.
On the evening of the 30th, L7 Gangnam conducted disinfection and sterilization following health authorities' guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of customers and staff, and plans to carry out additional large-scale disinfection on the 31st before reopening at noon on April 1st.
The confirmed case who visited the hotel departed from the United States (Washington) on the 26th of this month, arrived at Incheon Airport at 4 p.m. on the 27th, and was instructed to self-quarantine as an asymptomatic individual. The person stayed at the hotel from the 27th to the 28th and then moved to Yeongyang-gun on the 29th.
