Hurim Robot Signs MOU with Korea Military Academy to Build 'Untact' Smart Library Using Temi
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Recently, as untact (Untact: non-face-to-face) services have emerged as a social issue due to COVID-19, global robot company Hurim Robot is starting to build a non-face-to-face smart library using Temi.
Hurim Robot announced on the 31st that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Military Academy to build a smart library using the AI mobility guide robot Temi.
At the MOU event held at Chungmugwan of the Korea Military Academy, about 10 officials including Hurim Robot CEO Lee Kwonno, Korea Military Academy Dean of Faculty Brigadier General Jeon Seonghyun, and Library Director Colonel Baek Sangho attended, and the two institutions agreed to cooperate in building a smart library using the AI robot Temi.
Through this MOU, Hurim Robot plans to showcase smart robot services such as book information and location search, and location guidance through autonomous driving using Temi at the Korea Military Academy smart library, which will be newly opened after remodeling in September this year. This will make it more convenient to search for book information in an untact manner utilizing Temi’s advanced technology.
A Hurim Robot official said, “We consider it meaningful to provide an opportunity to use the knowledge information resources of the Korea Military Academy library more conveniently through this business agreement,” and added, “To this end, the two institutions plan to further expand various smart services within the Korea Military Academy through cooperative activities such as sharing ideas and information.”

Meanwhile, Hurim Robot, which launched the smart quarantine care and disinfection spraying robot Temi to prevent and contain COVID-19, plans to introduce various smart services using Temi in the future, including docent, smart retail, smart home, education, and security.
