[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea South-East Power Co., Ltd. (KOEN) is actively supporting flower farms struggling due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
On the 30th, KOEN announced that it signed an agreement with Gyeongsangnam-do Province, the Korea Flower Association, and the Gyeongnam Branch of the Korea Florist Association to support flower farms and flower shops.
Through the campaign "KOREA Fighting, KOEN Hwaiting," KOEN will create diverse demand for flowers to help flower farms and florists.
According to the agreement, KOEN will purchase flowers worth approximately 130 million KRW by next month.
On its founding anniversary on the 2nd of next month, KOEN plans to provide flower souvenirs to all employees.
Then, on Arbor Day, the 5th of next month, KOEN will purchase flowers to improve the environment of its headquarters building in Jinju, Gyeongnam.
Additionally, KOEN will support flowers to foster a culture of coexistence for vulnerable groups, partner companies, and visitors.
Gyeongnam Province will support local flower and florist farms, and the Flower and Florist Associations will provide high-quality flowers.
