Iran Reports Highest Daily Increase in COVID-19 Cases and Deaths... Total Patients Reach 29,406
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] The Iranian Ministry of Health announced on the 26th (local time) at noon that the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) increased by 2,389 (8.8%) compared to the previous day.
The total number of confirmed cases is 29,406, and the number of deaths also increased by 157 during the same period, reaching 2,234.
Since the first confirmed case and death on the 19th of last month, both statistics represent the largest daily increase. It is also the first time that daily deaths have exceeded 150, and new confirmed cases have surpassed 2,000 for two consecutive days.
