View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] KCC announced on the 26th that it has launched an eco-friendly water-based paint called 'Sup-euro All-in-One,' which can be easily applied with a single coating system regardless of the material, including steel, wood, and concrete, making it the first of its kind in the domestic industry.
The newly introduced Sup-euro All-in-One uses a special acrylic resin that enhances rust-preventive properties, allowing it to be applied directly to steel surfaces and completed in one coating. According to the company, it is the only water-based paint developed domestically that can be applied directly to steel.
According to KCC, generally, when applying water-based paint to steel, an anti-rust paint must first be applied to prevent rust. Due to the nature of steel, water-based paints, which use water as a solvent, are vulnerable to rust corrosion.
Sup-euro All-in-One also boasts excellent adhesion. It can be universally applied to various surfaces such as steel, window frames, sheets, concrete, cement mortar, gypsum board, non-ferrous metals, and wood. Additionally, it can be used for repair painting when existing paint has aged, causing cracking or peeling of the coating film.
It also meets eco-friendly standards. It has received the Environmental Label certification from the Ministry of Environment and the highest grade of eco-friendly building material certification (HB Mark) from the Korea Air Cleaning Association. The company explains that it has drastically reduced volatile organic compounds and exhibits excellent antibacterial and antifungal properties.
