Dobong-gu, Complete Disinfection of Street Vendors
Disinfection Work with Dobong-gu Street Vendor Operators from the 23rd to the 25th
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dobong-gu (Mayor Dongjin Lee) conducted disinfection work around street vendors and Seoul sidewalk business facilities (kiosks) starting from the 23rd, in collaboration with street vendor operators to block community transmission of COVID-19.
As the COVID-19 pandemic prolongs, causing heightened anxiety in the community and economic downturn, the district formed a special street vendor disinfection team to carry out thorough disinfection without blind spots around street vendors and kiosks.
The 'Street Vendor Disinfection Team,' consisting of 30 members including Dobong-gu Office's Street Management Division staff, field workers, and street vendor operators, was organized into six groups and conducted disinfection work from the 23rd to the 25th.
During the three days, they used disinfectant sprayers and disinfectants provided by the health center to focus on disinfecting the interior and exterior of 245 street vendor locations near Changdong Station, Ssangmun Station, and Dobongsan Entrance, as well as 34 booths of Seoul sidewalk business facilities (kiosks).
On the 10th, when street vendors around Changdong Station were included in the movement path of confirmed cases from other regions, the district immediately conducted disinfection work, and the respective street vendor operators entered self-quarantine.
Furthermore, the affected street vendors and nearby vendors voluntarily suspended operations until the 22nd, actively participating in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
