USFK Declares Public Health Emergency Over COVID-19 Exposure Concerns (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] The United States Forces Korea (USFK) announced on the 25th that General Robert Abrams, the commander of USFK, has declared a public health emergency.
USFK explained, "The World Health Organization (WHO) has raised the global alert level to 'very high,'" and "the U.S. Department of State has issued a Level 4 travel advisory prohibiting worldwide travel."
Additionally, it stated, "The possibility of exposure to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has increased in areas adjacent to USFK facilities."
