Miryang Arirang Festival in May Postponed to September This Year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Miryang City in Gyeongnam announced on the 25th that it will postpone the Miryang Arirang Festival to September this year to prevent and contain the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Accordingly, the 62nd Arirang Festival will be held for four days from September 24 to 27. The city originally planned to hold the festival for four days starting May 14, but explained that due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and its nationwide spread, it was unavoidable to postpone it to autumn.
Under the slogan "The Resonance of Arirang, The Beat of the Future," this festival will feature a greatly expanded "Arirang Theme Hall" and a live multimedia performance "Miryanggang Odyssey," along with various experiential programs centered on Miryang Arirang.
