According to the police on the 21st, a man in his 30s drove a truck to the Guui Police Substation of the Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul the previous morning and donated a box containing 100 masks.
The man, who visited the substation while working, did not reveal his identity but handed over the box saying, "I want to give masks to the police officers who are struggling because of COVID-19," and left immediately.
The officers at the Guui Police Substation decided to pass the donated masks on to places where they were more needed and donated masks and beverages to a short-term residential facility for the disabled in Gwangjin-gu.
Earlier, the Haengdang Police Substation of the Seongdong Police Station also delivered masks donated by citizens to welfare facilities.
On the 18th, a man estimated to be in his 70s visited the substation and left 28 masks. The man reportedly insisted on not revealing his identity and left the substation saying, "These are leftover masks, so please use them, police officers."
The police officers discussed and agreed to donate the masks to a child welfare facility in Seongdong-gu, and the team leader on duty at the substation personally delivered the masks.
