'Trotshin Appears' Trotshins Rising in Vietnam... 'Explosion of Excitement'
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] On the 18th, SBS's 'Trot God Has Come' continued the trot craze by successfully holding its second concert in Vietnam.
In the broadcast, Jang Yoon-jung, Seol Woon-do, Joo Hyun-mi, Jin Sung, and Kim Yeon-ja prepared a performance for acquaintances and Korean expatriates in Vietnam.
They decided the performance order while traveling in a car. Jung Yong-hwa suggested, "Let's decide by birthday order," resulting in the sequence: September-born Joo Hyun-mi, August-born Jin Sung, June-born Seol Woon-do, February-born Jang Yoon-jung, and January-born Kim Yeon-ja.
Additionally, each recalled memories of their first stage in childhood, attracting attention. Seol Woon-do won first place on his first stage at age 16, while Jin Sung performed on stage receiving only three meals a day from a traveling troupe.
The concert filled over 500 seats. The Trot Gods could not contain their rising emotions, which brought great joy to the viewers as well.
Joo Hyun-mi, nervous as it was the opening stage, skillfully sang 'Jeongmal Johaenne' (Really Good), eliciting audience response. Jin Sung selected 'Borittgogae' (Barley Hump) to comfort Koreans living abroad. The third stage performer, Seol Woon-do, showcased the excitement of trot with 'Sarang-ui Twist' (Love's Twist).
Notably, during Jang Yoon-jung's turn, a girl waving a placard saying "Please let trot be known worldwide" was captured, moving Jang Yoon-jung and all the performers. She passionately sang 'Mokpohaeng Wanhaengyeolcha' (Slow Train to Mokpo), saying, "I will sing hard."
