To Alleviate Resident Anxiety, Extensive Disinfection Conducted Daily Around Building Since Confirmed Case on 8th... All Employees in Offices and Business Spaces on Floors 1-6 and Residents in Officetels on Floors 13-19 Tested Negative... Floors 7-12 Remain Closed Until 22nd, Floors 1-6 Offices and Business Spaces Reopen from 16th
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu District Office (Mayor Lee Seong) conducted extensive disinfection activities on the afternoon of the 15th at the Korea Building (610 Gyeongin-ro, Guro-gu) and the surrounding area.
Since the COVID-19 infection occurred in the Korea Building on the 8th, Guro-gu has been carrying out intensive disinfection activities daily, focusing on the building and its vicinity.
On this day, over 40 people, including the Guro-gu Public Health Center disinfection team and the Sindorim-dong Saemaeul disinfection group, participated and thoroughly disinfected the building floors, windows, elevators, offices, and officetels.
Additionally, starting from the 16th, Guro-gu will lift the closure order on offices and business spaces on floors 1 to 6 of the Korea Building.
After confirming the cluster infection on the 9th, Guro-gu set up a temporary screening clinic next to the Korea Building from the 10th to the 12th to urgently conduct specimen tests for residents, workers, and nearby residents. The results showed that except for floors 7 to 11, where the call center is located, no positive cases were found on other floors. Due to the continuous disinfection efforts, the building is already considered safe, and to ensure the living rights of tenant companies, it was decided to lift the closure order on floors 1 to 6.
The closure order for floors 7 to 12 will be maintained until the 22nd, with plans to decide on lifting it based on future circumstances. The self-quarantine of employees on floors 7 to 11 (floor 12 is vacant) will also continue until the 22nd.
On the afternoon of the 9th, Guro-gu had issued a closure order for offices on floors 1 to 12 of the Korea Building to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
