76 Seoul COVID-19 Cases Linked to Guro Call Center Confirmed After Two Days
Infections Spread to Dongan Church, PC Bang, Caregivers, and Postpartum Care Workers

According to the Central Disease Control Headquarters on the 15th, as of 6 p.m. the previous day, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul was 252. This is 8 more than the 244 cases counted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government at 11 a.m. on the 14th.
On this day alone, 2 additional confirmed cases were reported each in Guro-gu and Yeongdeungpo-gu, and 1 each in Mapo-gu, Dobong-gu, Jungnang-gu, and Gangnam-gu.
Most of the additional confirmed cases in Seoul were related to cluster infection incidents. The number of confirmed cases related to the Guro-gu call center remained unchanged at 74 for two days since 5 p.m. on the 12th, but increased to 76 with one additional case each in Guro and Yeongdeungpo-gu on this day.
In Dobong-gu, a woman in her 60s working at a postpartum care center located in Chang 5-dong tested positive. It was identified that she was infected through a woman in her 70s (Dongdaemun-gu case number 21) who had previously tested positive in Dongdaemun-gu.
The confirmed case in Dongdaemun-gu is the mother of a man infected at the Seven PC Bang in Hwikyung-dong. The 68-year-old female confirmed case reported in Jungnang-gu on this day was also revealed to be a caregiver who had cared for Dongdaemun-gu case number 21.
Accordingly, the total number of confirmed cases related to the cluster infection starting from Dongan Church in Dongdaemun-gu and spreading to Seven PC Bang has increased to 18. They include other church members who attended a church retreat from the 20th to the 22nd of last month with the previously confirmed Dongan Church evangelist (Dongdaemun-gu case number 2), as well as their family and colleagues. Additionally, 7 people were infected at the PC Bang visited by one of these church members, leading to further confirmed cases.
The health authorities are conducting epidemiological investigations by identifying the test results and movement paths of related individuals such as PC Bang users, as this cluster has become the second largest in Seoul after the Guro call center.
Meanwhile, the confirmed case in Mapo-gu is presumed to have been infected by a French friend who arrived on the 9th, and another additional confirmed case in Guro-gu had a travel history to the Philippines.

The confirmed case in Gangnam-gu is classified as a patient related to Bundang Jesaeng Hospital, and the additional case in Yeongdeungpo-gu has not yet had a clear infection route identified.
